Reply: You have a choice between Masters in a technical field or an MBA which is entirely a personal one. If you like your work and need to develop more technical expertise, then a Masters in Mechanical or Industrial engineering would be the right move. If you are taking on more decision making responsibilities, prefer to shift to the management of operations and strategic planning roles, then MBA would lead to such a career progress. You are eligible to join either program , as both are offered by most universities in any country. You may pursue a Masters or an MBA in the discipline that interests you the most like Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain management, Human resource management, Operations Management . MBA programs abroad accept a range of work experience but generally the higher the rank of the institute the more years of experience it requires. Most reputed MBA schools abroad require two to three years of managerial experience after the first degree.
